Dr. Krengel is a native of the Chicago area.  He is a graduate of New Trier High school and a graduate of Tulane University. He attended Chicago Medical School, general surgery at Loyola University Medical Center, participated in research at Northwestern University, and lastly, completed his Urologic training at Tulane University Medical Center and affiliated hospitals. After completing his urologic training, he returned to the Chicago area.  He has been in private practice in Hinsdale, Illinois since 1994.

Dr. Krengel is well trained and up to date in all fields of urology, including complex kidney stone issues, female urology, urologic oncology, BPH/prostate disorders, sexual dysfunction, infertility, and pediatric urology.  He enjoys challenging cases and is felt by many to be empathetic, thoughtful, caring, and very communicative. He has been recognized by the Consumer Research Council of America as a top physician.

Dr. Krengel was Chief of Surgery at Hinsdale and LaGrange Hospitals, he performs surgical procedures at Hinsdale Surgical Center, United Therapies, Chicago Prostate Center, and Hinsdale and LaGrange Hospitals.

In his free time, Dr. Krengel enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and three teenage children, collecting wine, exploring the ever-changing restaurant scene in Chicago, and traveling.
